Peter is one of seven children in his family. He has three brothers and three sisters. He lives with his parents and siblings in a three-room brick house that has gravel floors and a thatched roof, in Nandom, located in the Wa district of the Upper West Region of Ghana. Peter is in grade four at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Primary School and his best subject is English. His favourite activities are reading books and playing soccer. At home, he is responsible for collecting and carrying water and washing dishes. Peter thinks he would like to become a nurse when he grows up. His parents are very poor farmers, struggling to provide the basic needs of their large family. At the Nandom Sponsor Site, sponsorship provides children with proper nutrition, education, and medical care. The site works to combat poverty in the community that occurs due to poor soil and farming conditions.
