Ramil lives with his parents, one brother and one sister, in a plywood structure in the Tondo slum, situated within the city of Manila. He is in grade five and likes Math class the best. He enjoys playing basketball with his friends. His mother earns income by peeling garlic and his father is a pedicab driver. They do not earn enough income to provide the basic needs of their family. Ramil thinks he would like to become an engineer when he grows up. Sponsorship enables children to attend classes every day and provides the materials they need to get a good education. Sponsorship gives children the opportunity to grow up healthy, happy, and able to achieve their dreams.
