Keep the sun shining! It’s the last full month of summer, meaning it’s time to get out and enjoy the sun while you still can. Our top 5 ‘Sunshine’ photos remind us the sun is always shining somewhere around the world, even when the clouds around us are grey.
#5: Snackin’ In The Tree
The sun was shining at our CMAVIL site in Paraguay, and this guy took the opportunity to climb up high. Hey, you’ve got to enjoy the nice weather while it lasts! (As those of us in rainy climates know well…)
#4: A Ray of Light
Chalice has been working at the Fatima site in Bolivia since 2010, where the staff and donors work to provide family funding, daycare and workshops. Just as the sun shone on this elderly woman at the site, the staff site and families are always working to bring a little sunshine into each day.

Our PINIFE site in Peru is truly beautiful, and the colours weave together with the sunshine to create a medley of joy. We hope you feel a little joy when you look at this photo!

Has a friend ever been a ray of sunshine in your life? Even when times are tough, friends lift us up, and even correct us when we’re going down the wrong path. And when we stray a little too far, they’re there to lead us home.
#1: A Tree Grows In Bolivia
What do all plants need to grow? Sunshine, of course! (And water, but that’s another Photo Friday for another day.) These kids are growing some adorable seedlings at our Fatima site in Bolivia, and if the sun keeps shining, they’ll grow into something even bigger than they are now.
