Four years ago, Gangadhar was diagnosed with heart disease: an enlargement of one part of his heart and dysfunction in his left ventricle. He was under treatment, but in April he needed to be hospitalized. After a week of urgent care, he passed away. He was 40 years old.
His family is now recovering from his loss and have been left with the remaining expenses from his treatment and hospitalization. The total is $1,213.08 CAD, far beyond their reach, especially after losing a breadwinner. The Sisters who run Chalice's Kerala sponsor site have requested assistance with the costs, to enable the family to find a new way forward without their father.
