Luckencia is a 16-year-old sponsored student who has been struggling to focus in class because of body pains and stomach-aches. She consulted her local doctor who referred her to a larger clinic in Jérémie.

There, the doctors diagnosed a stomach infection, mastitis, jaw dysplasia, and a gastric ulcer.

Her mother, Catoucha, has already exhausted her savings finding a treatment for Luckencia. She does not have the means to continue her daughter's regular medical follow-ups, which will incur expenses.

The Haiti South sponsor site team has therefore composed a budget to ensure Luckencia has the financial resources to continue her medical follow-ups, purchase medication, and have robust nutrition while taking her medication. The site staff are ensuring she can attend her appointments and will remain in close contact with her and Catoucha to see how her treatment is progressing.

The budget is $1,089.36 CAD, which includes Luckencia's consultations and medications to date, six follow-up appointments, six months of food supplements, and a small transportation cost for getting to the appointments.
